With its cooling and warming flavor and sweet delicate aroma, mint is one of the most widely used spices in the world as well as in Turkey. Green Life Mint, which is a local plant unique to Mediterranean geography, grows in many places in the world with a mild climate today. Although there are many different species according to where they are grown, they are basically gathered in two main groups. Green spearmint with a softer flavor, thinner leaves and used in food, and strong flavored mint with thick and dark leaves, with a sharp taste, mostly used in candies, chewing gums, toothpastes. Whether fresh or dried, mint's digestive properties have made it one of the most used spices. As in Turkish cuisine, it is used in different ways by combining it with yogurt in different Eastern cuisines. The most delicious time of mint is just before flowering, when the aromatic oils reach their highest level.
Green Life Mint is used in soups, vegetable dishes and yoghurt flavors, as well as sauces, salads and sherbets. In order to increase the flavor of natural mint, which is the source of flavor of the soups, we recommend that you add it to your soups by serving them in butter.
