Of all the fruits, mulberries are perhaps the most elusive, which gives them a delightful mystique. It’s not that they’re rare or difficult to grow, they’re just too delicate and perishable for supermarkets to stock. So I have never been able to find it in any store near me. They may, however, make a fleeting appearance at farmers markets, but the most likely place to find these berries is on the tree, reserved for the fortunate few who happen to have—or know someone who has—a mulberry tree. This is a great way of purchasing fresh mulberries and its rolled structure makes is easier to consume it.

Whether eaten fresh or after months of storage, churchkehla taste delicious. They are sweet, but not too much so. Georgian fighters are known to have eaten them for centuries, due to their high calorie content. And if you’re lucky enough to order it, there will always be a plate of churchkhela on the table for sure. The consistency is soft, dense and elastic. The elastic part is made of fruit juices. This is very beneficial AND delicious product. These 2 qualities are hard to find together in one. Mulberries are commonly used in ice cream, sorbet, jams, jellies, beverages, gastriques, and baked goods, especially pies. They can be substituted for blackberries, but are considerably sweeter and have a lower moisture content. They are rich with antioxidants, including anthocyanin, which is responsible for the deep red or purple coloring in fruits and vegetables. Mulberries are also known for containing resveratrol, a plant compound that acts like an antioxidant in the body, and is being studied for its potential disease-fighting and anti-aging properties.

Good cooked and prepared baklava is very hard to find outside Turkey. This brand very good about baklava. Probably i will try to another product from this brand. Great balance of flaky and sweet! I have not that much experience with tasting baklava, but if this is authentic, I’ll be spoiled for any other (except home made). This sooooo good, I had to stop myself from tasting each selection at one sitting. The post office sat on this for an extra day, when I received it, it was still delicious and fresh! I would recommend it to anyone who loves Mediterranean pastries.

This is the best desert for me i tried it. Especially the best property for me it is not overly sweet. Also this is amazing cruncy handmade rolled kadaif. All I can say is that this was a taste explosion! I have been looking for a taste that I experienced a long time ago. I finally found it. If you enjoy baklava, you won’t be disappointed. I am now a customer for life. The package arrived quicker than Gourmeturc said it would. It was securely packed and came sealed in a hard plastic case. Very fresh and tastes exquisite. GREAT.

Baklava is originally from Turkey, not Greece. Lets settle that. If you have visited both countries like I did then you d know which one is the original creator. They have huge differences between them. They may look similar but once you taste you immediately notice the difference. I have always been Turkish baklava supporter ever since my Istanbul visit in 2013. This one is a true Turkish baklava. AND it is well made. I was very excited to see it on gourmeturca so I ordered it as soon as I saw it. So glad I bought. It was something I really missed.

Looks like I made a good exchange. I have been ordering baklavas from here since November and I was happy with all of my orders so this time I went for a change and bought this one. Glad I did. I read some about Turkish cuisine and discovered that It was one of the most popular sweet pastries of Ottoman cuisine. Considering the deserts past, it made me draw to itself more and more. I think baklava is a form of art. It is something else. It is something I have never experienced in Europe. No matter how many restaurants I visit I never find anything close to it.

I think a lot of people get mixed up between vermicelli and kataifi. The difference is that vermicelli is long, slender pasta, similar to spaghetti, only thinner while kataifi is a very fine vermicelli-like pastry used to make desserts in various mediterranean and middle eastern cuisines. They add syrup and nuts in between these layers. I think you should definitely try it because it is very hard to describe this one with words. It is very different yet familiar taste with a new commentary on the worlds of deserts. I ordered from here because my friend advised me to. I appreciate the suggestion. Well made.
